It is a prerequisite that surgeons of The Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre are members of “Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand” ( Breast SurgANZ ) and submit all their Breast Cancer cases to the BreastSurgANZ Quality Audit where clinical outcomes are continually benchmarked against accepted standards. In addition the Surgeons are members of “Breast Surgeons International” (BSI). BSI is an Australian organisation that in conjunction with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons maintains standards and accreditation in the management of Breast Disease.

Similarly, Surgeons at the Adelaide Parathyroid and Thyroid Surgical Centre are members of “Australian Endocrine Surgeons” (AES) and the “International Association of Endocrine Surgeons” (IAES), with both organisations requiring extensive experience and continuing medical education in Endocrine Surgery (Thyroid, Parathyroid and Adrenal Surgery) for membership.

At 341 South Terrace regular Multidisciplinary Management Meetings are central to patient care. At these meetings, management plans are reviewed and optimised and a regular collegiate dialogue between Surgeons also assists with complex and challenging cases.

All Surgeons run individualised practices but work in close association to provide patients with the best of personalised service and the reassurance of backup cover when required. The clinicians and staff have developed a strong, respectful and integrated working relationship which benefits all patients and is reflected in the relaxed atmosphere encountered by those who enter 341 South Terrace.
