Purpose-built facilities opposite the parklands in the Southeast corner of Adelaide provide a comforting environment for the comprehensive assessment and care of patients with surgical diseases of the breast, thyroid and parathyroid. The consulting rooms are in close proximity to the services of St Andrews Hospital, which also exclusively provides inpatient care for our patients.

St Andrews Hospital

St Andrew’s Hospital is a 207-bed private surgical hospital situated opposite Adelaide’s south parklands. It houses nine state-of-the-art operating theatre suites, an 18-bed Critical Care Unit, an up-to-date Emergency Department plus two procedure rooms, an Angiography Suite, a Day Patient Suite and arguably South Australia’s most comprehensive private cancer-care facility. 
The team at St Andrew’s has received numerous National Quality and Clinical Excellence Awards.

The surgeons of The Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre attend the St Andrews Breast Centre

“The Breast Clinic is an association between St Andrew’s Hospital, Dr Jones & Partners – medical imaging practice, and a selection of Adelaide’s leading surgeons specializing in breast care. This multidisciplinary service provides specialist knowledge in the fields of breast imaging, diagnosis and treatment – all within one private area adjacent to the main Hospital entrance.”

A comprehensive range of medical imaging facilities is available including:

  • stereotactic mammography
  • high-resolution ultrasound
  • MRI
  • nuclear medicine
  • CT

The clinic’s objective is to:

  • attend to patient’s medical needs in the shortest possible time
  • provide access to the specialist knowledge of South Australia’s best surgeons and radiologists

A specialist Breast Care Nurse is available to offer counseling if required..

St Andrews Hospital Acute Assessment Unit

The vast majority of patients undergoing treatment will not require acute assessment or emergency care. However, it is reassuring to know that the Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre And Adelaide Parathyroid And Surgical centre is closely affiliated with St Andrews Hospital and able to call on the resources of the acute assessment for acute referrals or unexpected afterhours attendances.
