Welcome to 333 South Terrace and the home of the Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre and the Adelaide Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgical Centre.

The Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre and Adelaide Parathyroid and Thyroid Surgical Centre brings together Specialist Breast and Endocrine Surgeons within a Multidisciplinary Team.

The Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre and The Adelaide Parathyroid and Thyroid Surgical Centre provide a combined experience covering over 65 years of surgical management of Breast and Endocrine disease. All Surgeons currently hold, or have held, Consultant appointments to major teaching hospitals, BreastScreen SA, and University of Adelaide with Professorial or Senior Lecturer positions. All surgeons are Fellows of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and are both audited and certified by the College’s Continual Professional Development Programme. In addition, all Surgeons have achieved certification and accreditation in the use of ultrasound and use it extensively in their practice.

The Surgeons of The Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre and The Adelaide Parathyroid and Thyroid Surgical Centre currently hold, or have held, significant executive appointments within the peak professional bodies, both Australian and International.

It is a prerequisite that surgeons of The Adelaide Breast Surgical Centre are members of “Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand” ( Breast SurgANZ ) and submit all their Breast Cancer cases to the BreastSurgANZ Quality Audit where clinical outcomes are continually benchmarked against accepted standards. In addition the Surgeons are members of “Breast Surgeons International” (BSI). BSI is an Australian organisation that in conjunction with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons maintains standards and accreditation in the management of Breast Disease.

Similarly, Surgeons at the Adelaide Parathyroid and Thyroid Surgical Centre are members of “Australian Endocrine Surgeons” (AES) and the “International Association of Endocrine Surgeons” (IAES), with both organisations requiring extensive experience and continuing medical education in Endocrine Surgery (Thyroid, Parathyroid and Adrenal Surgery) for membership.

At 333 South Terrace regular Multidisciplinary Management Meetings are central to patient care. At these meetings, management plans are reviewed and optimised and a regular collegiate dialogue between Surgeons also assists with complex and challenging cases.

All Surgeons run individualised practices but work in close association to provide patients with the best of personalised service and the reassurance of backup cover when required. The clinicians and staff have developed a strong, respectful and integrated working relationship which benefits all patients and is reflected in the relaxed atmosphere encountered by those who enter 333 South Terrace.
